Vintage Gucci Plus Clutch. Gucci Plus is a discount range, which was created by Paolo Gucci in the '70s. Paolo Gucci, alienated his family in the 1980's, by creating his own handbag line. An affordable Gucci line aimed at the masses. He had to add “PLUS” between the “Gs” in the diamanté pattern after Paolo was sued for copyright infringement. Paolo won the court case that allowed him to use the Gucci name in his products but needed to mark them differently so that the buyers were able to see the difference between the high-end Gucci line and that affordable Gucci. Clutch is in good condition. Has rubbing in all 4 bottom corners but no tears. Clean interior. Original Gucci plus keychain still attached with Japanese writing in back. Hardware has tarnish and scratches. No dust bag included. Good piece of Gucci history.
