Cartier by Corum In the old days it was not unusual to see a watch brand retailing watches from other brands. We are not speaking of retailers, yes we are speaking about watch brands retailing other watch brands. The best example here seems to be Tiffany & Co. The 5th Avenue dealer in New York was retailing Rolex and Patek Philippe watches and was authorized to stamp the dials with their own name. There are multiple other examples for this phenomenon and we love that brands were embracing and representing other watch brands. Double stamped watches are very collectible and sought after. We have here a beautiful ladies watch in 18K yellow gold that has a meticulously decorative integrated bracelet shouting out the 70s style. The watch bears a very rare Tiger Eye hard stone dial that in combination with yellow gold is a superb combination. The dial is signed Cartier, and it's only signed Cartier, not Corum, though the rest of the watch is done by Corum. It is absolutely flabbergasting that this was done the way it was done and hats off to the brands for doing that. Back to the watch itself, the piece of stone used for the dial is beautiful, with its shades of brown and golden vertical line on the right side of the dial. It’s a watch you look at twice when you see it. The case and bracelet are well preserved and are not showing much wear from age. We love the little Key logo on the clasp a lot. Further the gold on some parts of the watch has patinated to a rosy hue. A very stylish and good looking watch that will for sure turn heads.
